Consultation Terms and Conditions

Our consultations run for 30 minutes. During this time our lawyers and agents will listen to your migration goals, assess your eligibility, and provide the best pathway to reach your migration goals. They will discuss methods to strengthen your application and the next steps.

Only the following individuals may join the primary invitee on a scheduled consultation: the invitee's partner, the invitee's children, a translator (where required), and a parent only where that parent is the applicant for a Parent visa, or is themselves the primary applicant. Attendance by an unauthorised third party may result in the consultation being rescheduled or terminated, at Maison Chen Law Group's discretion.

Please note that Maison Chen Law Group has zero tolerance for any form of disrespect, harassment, aggression, violence or discrimination. If any of these occur, our lawyers and agents reserve the right to terminate the consultation immediately and no refunds will be issued.

• When you book with us, you will pre-pay the fee for the appointment.  
• After your appointment we will send you an invoice just for your records.  You don’t need to pay anything else, we’ll transfer the money from our trust account to pay the invoice after 7 business days.
• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your appointment confirmation email or email us directly at reception@mclg.com.au.
• No-shows and cancellations within 48 hours will incur a $100 charge at Maison Chen Law Group's discretion. We'll refund the balance unless you reschedule within 24 hours.
• We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your consultation.
• At times, due to unforeseen circumstances, Maison Chen Law may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If this happens, we will do our best to offer you the earliest possible alternative with one of our lawyers or agents.
